The Wildest Sound

Location

The wildest, rawest sound I have ever

heard

is the forlorne cry of my mother.

When my father passed

she wailed and cried and sang.

So passionate and raw,

So real.

She said no words, only sang

low notes of dispair.

Nothing could ever compare

to losing ones true love.

Her sadness struck me

to the core.

I have never been able to forget

her lonesome song.

Her fear-filled tune

will forever be

the wildest sound

I have ever heard.
