Why must we all look instead of lending a hand?

I could’ve prevented it, but I didn’t
The name calling, the pushing, the jokes
I should’ve helped, but I didn’t
Why must we all look instead of lending a hand?
All those days I saw the tears flowing, but I just walked away
The silent cries for help that I kept ignoring
I was with the cool kids, while you was ditching school kid
No one never knew we were related because I kept on walking
You’ll tried to catch up, but I did no talking
If I knew what I know today I would’ve helped
I would’ve made sure you came to school
I would’ve made sure their size didn’t intimidate you
I would’ve been your friend
But the question still stands…
Why must we all look instead of lending a hand?
