What She Hides

Location

Issele-uku, Nig

A mask of lies
Forges her ultimate disguise

A smile
Glimmering with false joy

Inside she's just a toy
A toy to her anxiety and depression

They take over with aggression
Forcing her into false expression

Till one day
The noose ties

She becomes released from the lies
But it's too late to stop the dead

If only you could've seen
If only you could've seen through the mask

She'd be alive
Not hanging above her bed
