What i didn't realize before

it all began a few years ago,

My eyes were opened, now i cant let it go.

It's my mom

she is the REAL bread winner in the fam

its a shame what she has for as a man

she works and works and nothing pays off

its like she gets no justice for alll the hard work that she's done

it pisses me off that her husband never begun,

to take action and be a man,

our family is at stake.

he's just a wanabee, a fake ,

a motherfucker who doesn't know what it takes,

to raise a family, cook, clean,

and still stay awake

to go to work the next day.

I pray to god that i dont find a man like him, and make the same mistake.

I appreciate all that she's done

That's why im in college, to try and give her what she deserves

applying to scholarships, wishing to tell her I've won.

"No ma, you don't have to work anymore,

Take the day off. you dont have to worry  no more..."
