Walls, built sturdy and tall.

Walls, built sturdy and tall.
Doors, built to let people in.
These walls make a tower,
         I threw away the key.
All in an effort, to keep you from me.

         Hell hath no fury,
         Or so they say.
I’d give anything to push you away.

Windows, built to see the world.
Glass, it’s there to keep a distance.
The windows are covered,
         No light gets inside.
Precautions ensuring our worlds can’t collide.

         Love and be loved.
         Yes, that’s what they say.
Dear God, I’d give anything to make you stay.
