waiting game

The teardrops on my face
Keep dripping

The tables turn and somehow
Keep flipping

Don't know how long I
Can stay this way

Don't know how far I
Will go today

Same sad song stuck on repeat
Exhausted, but can't seem to sleep

Broken mirrors, shattered glass
You and I, lost in the past

Blood is seeping through the walls
Silence echoes through the halls

Your fingers graze my shoulder and
You kiss me hard, on my command

But now you've left, I'm fading fast
I'm still here and years have passed

My heart is cold without your flame
Our love has been a waiting game
