The Valley

Location

I walked through the valley of the shadow of death

And witnessed the face of the many

Who suffered greatly without remorse

I gazed upon the anguish and

Fear within their eyes

I walked through the valley of the shadow of death

And I witnessed the stars shining on Earth

But these stars were not to guide

They were to condem the people

to the doors of death

I walked through the valley of the shadow of death

And felt no hope as they marched

towards their death

Despair was as evident as the air

Forever lingering in their souls

I walked through the valley of the shadow of death

And was overwhelmed by the darkness collected

Around the institutions of death

The wails of those tormented

Within the wire still tear at my soul

I walked through the valley of the shadow of death

And believe I am still there
