Ups&Downs: Fakes

They’re poetic and deceptive at the same time,

Enchanting your ears to invade your mind.

Convincing you they’re innocent

When they’re the reason you’re blind,

To what the real world is,

To what your reality and designed destiny is.

To be honest,

They can’t be.

They change topics to avoid the topic at hand,

And they slip through your hands,

Just like beach sand.

And once they set in there’s no telling of where they are,

Where they’ve been,

Or where they’ll be going.

If you’re searching for them,

You won’t be searching for the truth.
