Under The Microscope

Bright fluorescent lights of pain
Tell me what you have to gain
Tell me you that shine so bright
Why you’d place me in this plight

Standing there under your glare
I’ve grown cold under your stare
I’m going down without a fight
My heart screams- this isn’t right!

I’m under their microscope
It takes all my might to cope
I fight the glare no longer
They will take this fear no further

I’ve learned to love and not to care
The worse they do is try to scare
I shine, now brighter than the light
My heart flutters in delight
