summer's over

Blue sky paradise.

It's 2 in the morning.

The sun is gone,

but not for long.

I had to say it twice -

that I didn't know

how it had been going

since you'd been gone.

The sun burns me,

but you are the moon.

We'd lay on the lawn

and count the stars around you.

It hasn't been long

since I looked at the sky.

You took my heart

and ran for your life.

It's 2 in the morning.

I wonder how you're doing.

I'm laying on the lawn

without my heart.

Blue sky paradise

finds me in the morning.

The sun burns me

while I wish for the moon.
