Stuck

Little reminders, I find them everywhere.

Little reminders of how you used to care.

Looking back we had it all, no wonder no one predicted our fall.

More days pass and you’re still not around,

Although I’m sad, I am also found.

I am me, now I can see.

I’m ready for you to leave me behind,

But your feet are glued at the door.

You blew our flame out so why are you lingering?

Doesn’t it hurt for you to see me smiling?

My beautiful butterfly who once flew so high in the sky,

I don’t know you anymore, was your smile just a lie?

Let me be free that’s all I ask,

Let me be free from our entire past
