The Stray Arrow

The maiden walking down the crowded road,

Unknown, unlucky vessel for defeat,

Not seeing Cupid’s humble, red abode,

Is struck within, filling void hearts in heat.

Another arrow strays from fate’s target

As altered destiny produces pains.

The blinded reaches against the closet,

As maiden’s love for female never wanes.

Lethal emotions lie in wasteful minds

As the other rejects the blinding light.

Unable to discard the curse’s binds,

The maiden drifts away from human sight.

As we long for those who seek no offense,

A blunder can cause epic consequence.
