rope lines have been found in our bloodlines, but

the ropes have tied themselves

into nooses, like

tongue-tying a cherry stem until you are

tongue tied, trying

your tongue

is trying

to warn you of the distress signs found

in broken bloodlines, drowned

in teenagers in caskets and

reminders not to ask, its

suffocation at its finest and just surviving at its best

but no one ever stops to help

untie the knots in your mind

or your veins

unless

you cut them,

cut the power lines in your bloodlines

to find

the surprise -

surprise!

it's a red letter

telling you how to be better

by just telling you to

get over it.

i’m sick of being told to get over it
