A Sonnet for Mommom

Maybe life goes on, even with you gone,
Maybe this is how it's supposed to be.
Like sunshine you'll follow me wherever I go
Even through the fog and the cloudy days.

Every day that I look in the sky,
Your great beauty breaks through the atmosphere
And that's when I know I'll be okay,
Even when my young heart is torn apart.

Maybe this isn't suffocating me,
Maybe there's still air left inside my chest,
So I don't need to search for better days.

Every day I still grow stronger,
Every day is easier than the last,
You taught me much, so I will never look back.
