Somethings Quite Off

The nose, the eyes, the mouth, the hair,

Things I've seen before but in different ways.

Somethings quite off,

Yes, somethings not right.

Her feet walk on hell,

But she keeps her nose pointed toward heaven

Somethings quite off,

Yes, somethings not right.

And they see and they stare and they point and they mock

Because you must know,

Somethings quite off,

Yes, somethings not right.

Because she's not one of us,

And she cannot be one of them,

Somethings quite off,

Yes, somethings not right.

"Well what does she claim?"

"Yeah, who does she know?"

"She claimes nothing" they say,

"She knows nothing" they think

Somethings quite off,

Yes, somethings not right.

And no one looks her in the eye,

But they stare at her face

Thinking

Somethings quite off,

Yes, somethings not right.

And she ignores all the stares,

But she feels all the burdens.

Courage on her face,

And despair in her heart

Thinking

Somethings quite off,

Yes, somethings not right.
