social media blur
In this generation why
why is it that the number of likes on your latest selfie
determines your beauty
While the girl behind the screen
hides her insecurity behind the filters
to fit the social standards of what is pretty
And as you scroll down that popular page
you focus on how you'll never have that hourglass body and a pretty face
Yet we never think about the persons life beyond that insta famous profile
why should we trade self content to fit the appeal of others
when the love for ones self and confidence is worth more than the number of DT's
This poem is about:
Me
Our world
