Smile While You Can
Location
Smile while you can,
And please do make it wide.
Don't wait for it to be gone;
With it, may you abide.
As long as longer, stay with its side.
Smile is just one hour,
In a glass full of sands.
Don't be bitter, don't be sour;
Your life is in your hands
Solitude is eternity,
There's an endless agony.
Life's full of cruelty,
And freedom's slavery.
We were always looking for Death,
We tried and easily ended our breath.
We tried to jump and cut our wrist,
Cause we couldn't feel the gist;
And our thoughts are fully loaded with mist
We were never perfect, we are amiss.
We kept on repeating the same mess.
Life is a curse, but it was really a bless;
So let this refrain, be the portrait of your face
Smile while you can,
And please do make it wide.
Don't wait for it to be gone;
With it, may you abide.
As long as longer, stay with its side.
Challenge those who have come,
Think of it as not fearsome.
Life is not something like a sweet plum,
Know that the world is full of scum.
You don't know who to trust,
Sometimes they end your heart with a bust.
In a world full of desire and lust,
How longer will you last?
But here is a say for you,
It is either you believe it's true
And will you let me write a refrain;
And read this poem, on and on again.
Smile while you can,
And please do make it wide.
Don't wait for it to be gone;
With it, may you abide.
As long as longer, stay with its side.
