Siren's Song

Hear my chant, that I am crying,

Allured by my answer, they’re all stuck admiring,

Grasped by the gods, pulled by Poseidon,

Carried into the current, by the Song of the Siren,

For hundreds of years, I’ve watched over these waters,

Protecting the sea, from the sick and the slaughtered,

The man and the monster, they are all the same,

Will hurt and will kill, for the smallest of gains,

They slaughtered my kind, they took all the treasures,

The baubles and trinkets, too many to measure,

All that displeasure, I needed revenge,

I had so much rage, that I needed to quench,

So I found a small island, seen by so many ships,

With rocky outcroppings, all beneath but the tips,

I then sung from my lips, a magnificent speech,

And soon there was bones, scattered all on the beach,

Hear my chant, that I am crying,

Allured by my answer, they’re all stuck admiring,

Grasped by the gods, pulled by Poseidon,

Carried into the current, by the Song of the Siren.
