Show Them

Read between the lines,

Something I have just learned,

Some people try to hide,

Behind powerful words.

For some it's difficult,

To find the correct vocabulary,

For vocal expression,

Is it really that scary?

Before it was rarely,

The way I carried myself,

A closed book,

An untouched chapter,

Hiding on the shelf.

I forgot I was hiding,

Need to remember oneself,

Let no one bring me down,

I won't help kill thyself.

I read this poem,

It stated you have the power,

Show them!

Show them your not broken,

Away with the omens!

Such powerful words,

Had unleashed something in my mind,

It helped me to find,

The words needed to take control of my life.

At first I didn't understand,

What more could I do?

Than be whom I am,

How do I show them?

It's not a scam.

I began to write,

And in hidden sight,

There it was,

The words I always needed,

To explain my fight.

So anytime I feel lost,

Confused,

Or when I cant let my words shine,

I tell those around,

Maybe they as well should read between the lines.
