Shattered Glass

Location

A rose placed upon shattered

glass.

Her cries are heard from afar,

But no one listens.

Watching as life spills

Before the falling night.

Snowflakes drifting past

With no real destination in

Sight.

She watches as he gathers his

Things to leave.

Begging him to stay

A little grace or mercy.

Kissing upon the lips

Knowing this is the

Last time.

Trying to run,

But no where to hide

Shivering and shaking

So caught up in

Love.

Asking someone please

Send me an angel from

Up Above.

Her tears fall freely

As she makes her way

Through.

Never thinking of

The day

She'll have to say

Goodbye to you.
