Sail On

Remember—

Walking in the sand,

wiggling tiny bits and particles,

between your toes,

looking out beyond the waters,

toward the horizon

To where your dreams are directed

by the point of your finger,

driven by the restless,

aches of your soul

and limited only

by your imagination

Sail on, sail on!

Vessel made of sturdy bark

Forward!

Split the waves that threaten to drown

your beating heart

And when torrential winds

spin you wild from without,

and the sea begins to spill within,

no matter how much the crystal droplets sting

Remember—

Walking in the sand…

Sail on, sailor

Toward the horizon
