Truthful it was
The dedication I saw
With endless days and endless nights
Consciousness overriding any question of rest
Passion peered through a coffin of dead eyes
Unrested one
Work for the future he would say to me
Let rest be second and for success to be first
Unrested one-rest
Close your eyes
For you must blink to truly understand the love for day
He blinked once or twice
Truthful it was
The dedication he saw
With love for the day and love for the night
Consciousness feeding into the desire to close your eyes and blink
Love peered into a coffin of eyes
Unrested one
Work for the end
For one day it will be over
What you leave for us to see will be what we will always remember
