Resilient Me

resilient

resilent me,

like a bouncing ball

one world to another,

down every street-

bouncing

bouncing

I can run at top speed,

at the drop of a hat

block out loud sounds-

before they even attack-

bouncing

bouncing

I can make it through a day

any day

every day

with a smile, and a try

and a dream at the end-

bouncing

bouncing

resilient

resilient me,

like a bouncing ball

you thought would never

go back,

or forward-

bouncing

bouncing

I can lift 2 tons,

off my own heart

and plant sunflowers,

in my own scars-

bouncing

bouncing

I can reach to the moon,

in my sleep-

play among stars

and make the end of the road,

into a new start

bouncing

bouncing

bouncing

bouncing

down every street

one world to another

like a bouncing ball,

I always come back

resilent me

resilient
