Realization

Location

I use to feel so disgusted by those hurtful words

telling me that I wasn't pretty enough

slim enough

my teeth are too big and my waist was even bigger

As the years pasted, I have come to realization

to silence all those ignorant voices

I accepted the fact that I will never be society's definition of perfection

but I am my own perfection

a beautiful mess of love and rage

tangled ebony hair

I may have a big waistline

but I just my middle finger just as high as those stuck up noses that try to put me down

i refuse to let society's modern day beauty standards eat me a live

and if you have something to say be ready

for I'll spit sharp words of embracing the chaotic mess that is reality
