Race to Nowhere
Forever towards elusive horizons,
Driving away our primitive fear,
An endeavor at best.
Blurs of men zoom past,
Ghosts of ambition,
Echoes of monotony.
Vaguely human
Beyond black windows
Shielding the blazing anarchy
That is our world.
Lane by lane,
United in the race to nowhere,
Carried on by the flow of evolution,
If not for the sunrise,
The promise of morning
Through this dark night.

Our world
