The power you hold

Who do you think you are? You think you have power over me, the ability to suppress my creativity and freedom of speech.

You're wrong. I'm a person with feelings and ideas and dreams and everything else you can't even imagine. I want you to understand. No, I need you to understand, that teaching is not the exertion of power over naive hopeful dreamers, but the privilege of laying a path that they may choose to follow.

Let those dreamers see thousands of bright paths that they may go down. Inspire them. Do not intimidate them into submission. Let them fly free with their words, ideas, inspirations, aspirations, bouts of randomness, and just the general wonderfulness that is youth and untapped potential.

Let them learn, but do not dictate the way they do so.
