The People by the Ocean.

By the sea

I heard crashing of waves

And people...

I hear them shouting my name.

softly...

THEN LOUDLY!

SHOUTING LOUDLY,

"OH MORTAL!

HOW DARE YOU FIGHT US!

YOU CAN'T ESCAPE US!

WE'LL BE BEHIND YOU

EACH STEP OF THE WAY!"

The tide goes out

Ever ebbing and flowing away

And now I hear them softly...

THEN LOUDLY!

SHOUTING LOUDLY,

"OH MORTAL!

HOW DARE YOU FIGHT US!

YOU CAN'T ESCAPE US!

WE'LL BE BEHIND YOU

EACH STEP OF THE WAY!"

-From the opera, "Il Visitatore" by Aaron Hill
