The Painting
Location
I paint the shades of lifeSo many mockers in plain sightWith faith, I sail past sorrow, sourness, and strifeIn stanzas, I navigate the high waters of life I paint the mysteries that were revealed to meby The One who holds the foundation of the HeavenAnd the Earth; Deep, Confusing RevelationsI am not a fan of metaphors and smilesI am a fan of puns and paradoxes I paint to gaze at the painting of my soul; paintedcolourfully in black and whiteEvery soul must be at peace or restLife is a trial and also a test Nothing I want in this world than to see my familyIn the skies of rainbows. I am painting a pictureBy the time I am done, the whole earth willUnderstand the power of waitingEvery man has a time of soaring In a world of beauty and painI choose not to embrace the hunger of todayI am not a gluttonous painterWith time, the seedling becomes a treeYet, even now, I am free My body scars will be replaced by a soothingbalm. I am not stopping for selfies on the roadI am not on the broad road of lifeThe wheel of time is not the wheel of lifeThe darkest nights beacon the brightest lights Broken or not, with Christ you can moreLife is a mystery, life is realityI learned my craft from somewhereI will never forget home; I am not ungrateful Blue sky, blue sea, blue oceanLook at the forgettable and despised imageJoy hides in the shadows. I am a painter withfewer words. Like an ambushing eagle, I waitfor my story to be told in the kingdoms of men Habakkuk Kargbo (Rabbi)©Poem Makers SL (October 2023)
