My imagination was one to awe,

What fantasy beyond would take the fall,

Seamless, without boundaries that bask in my head,

Color my soul for right it is red,

Together the pieces should shape a life,

A story once told to silence the night,

First came the death, to envy the pain,

Color my soul the color of rain,

Without all the boundaries I stood to float on,

Where no one could fathom the light of the dawn,

My colors are blending, my colors are light,

Please don’t paint me the color of white,

The sea, is it darker than ever before?

Is there a sign of the calm withered shore,

Paint my sins in as if you knew,

Why I was selfish and what did I do,

And now there’s a time I will never get back,

Please don’t paint me silver and black,

Color the stones as you step upon,

Remember the labors when they’re gone,

I will seek a place for me,

Where no one judges for what they see,

If you paint me, paint me gold,

Paint my sins and paint my soul.
