My Paradoxical Self

Mad

She’s a match that’s quick to light

that’s not hard to put out.

Short tempered, but quick to forgive.

Merciful

Insecure

She’s a puppy in a pack of wolves

that wants to be an alpha.

Seeking acceptance, but she has her own.

Independant

Rambunctious

She’s a tornado in an open field

that doesn’t do much damage.

Sort of crazy, sort of wild, but not destructive.

Reasonable

Adamant

She’s a one way street

that’s got a few turns in it.

Set up for a detour, but it’s not preferred.

Adjustable

Naive

She’s a child

that knows not to veer too far.

So trusting, but wary of danger.

Nervous

Descriptive

She’s a watchful writer

that can’t find the words every time.

Seeing the world in detail, but lacking words.

Distracted

Accomplished

She’s a valedictorian

that works her butt off for those grades.

So much time spent, but she could still spend more.

Aspiring

Mad and Merciful

Insecure and Independent

Rambunctious and Reasonable

Adamant and Adjustable

Naïve and Nervous

Descriptive and Distracted

Accomplished and Aspiring

She is a walking paradox, and she loves it.
