My Monster

You are the monster under my bed.

You are the shadow in my closet.

You are the figure keeping me from going around the corner.

You keep me from sleep.

You haunt everything I do, and every move I make.

I love you so much like any child should,

but at the same time I despise you with everything inside of me.

You mean everything to me,

but at the same time nothing.

You were suppose to protect me,

but instead you threw me in the fire.

I thought I could trust you,

but now I know I cant.
