In one chord I feel my heart rising.

My breast heaves with elation.

In the next chord I feel my heart dropping.

My sobs tighten in my chest.

In the first verse I feel my fingertips tingle.

I am shocked with electricity.

In the second verse I feel my legs drop like sullen warriors,

weary but too stubborn to sink.

In the chorus I feel my own voice singing along,

adding melodies like a spree songbird.

In the ending note I feel my eyes light up,

determined and comforted from this one song.

This poem is about:
Our world
