Mourning

Location

Rose soft petals,

Gently blowin' in the wind,

Whirling around my legs,

Pulling me forward into the end...

I walk softly and gracefully,

Leaving my heart to follow,

The wind caressing my hair,

Filling my chest that is hollow...

I stopped at our place,

I reached out at our secret home,

Where our love was full of grace,

That is now a cold and alone...

I close my eyes,

And let my misery run down each cheek,

Remembering my pain inside,

For your life to continue with me...

Last time I thought of our love,

Was the final breath you blew,

That phrase that pierced my broken heart,

Your last words: "I love you"...
