More Than You Love You

Thu, 08/29/2024 - 23:37 -- RayGray

You say you love me,

and I think that's true,

But you don't love me

more than you love you.

If I was worth more to you than your pride,

maybe then you would have apologized.

You haven't yet and likely never will.

Thanks to you, look at all these tears I spill.

When I was finally content with my own mind,

you warped my thoughts, so peace I can no longer find.

Thank you for everything that you do,

but realize that I am not bulletproof.

I break and crumble and fall apart,

yet still you run to break my heart.

You say it's all my fault, but if that's true,

Why am I crying all these tears and not you?

You insist that you love me,

and maybe that much is true,

But you never seem to love me

nearly as much as you love you.
