Mom

Dear Mom,

You always said to fight for what you believe in

Fight like the Sun fights the Moon

Though the Moon may shed dim light upon the night-enveloped Earth

The Sun will always win

Casting its brilliant rays of light and warmth on the waking souls each morning

You always said to never be satisfied

Prowl the Earth with the hunger of a Cheetah

Always pounce when opportunity exists

The Cheetah who pounces at every opportunity will never be hungry

You always said to have zest for life

Be as happy as a Flower

Share your elegant scent and your bold colors with the world

The Flower lights up every room

Springtime and summertime are defined by the Flower

You always said

Pay attention to the Earth around you

It could teach you a thing or two

Sincerely,

Ethan
