we shall overcome
what has been done is done
he's resting in Archangels' wings
from which he first came from

though, through the guilt and shame
it's ourselves we want to blame
in anguish we all cry out loud
repeating Michael's name

there's never a promised tomorrow
still, we feel the grief and sorrow
we pray that he's reached heaven, 'cause
our time on earth is borrowed

from death into eternal love
his soul will always lay
he's looking at us from above
'cause he's joined God today
