Mercy In My Veins

Sit down; let's play a game.

Sleep sound; the monster's been tamed.

Still loud; the voices scream:

"Let me out; you know you're just a fiend."

"Slow down; I don't wanna play.

Stop now; I won't treat me this way."

So proud; now I can say:

"Stay out; at least for today."

"Calm down; your life's not a game.

Stop now; you are not your shame."

So loud; the voices still say:

"Run now; just don't forget your veins."

Sit down; let's play a game.

Sleep sound; the monster's been tamed.

And even though, there's blood in my veins;

The voices laugh, I'm still insane.

When there's nobody but myself left to blame,

And my heart is still full of hate,

I beg for some mercy in my veins,

Or maybe from God, if I'm not too late.
