Memories and Raindrops and...

Location

Memories are all so vivid for me

Whether black/white, vintage, or color.

They bring my imagination to life

Blending visions from the past and present.

I love the rain in the summertime

When the moisture cools on my skin,

The smell of moist soil as it hits my nostrils

And the sound of raindrops hitting tin.

The wind that whispers through the trees

On any given day

Sounds sweet like music to my ear

And tastes so much like freedom.

How can so many say they love something strongly

When they are more focused on getting to the top quickly?

For this leaves them little time to enjoy life’s wonders

And to celebrate the time that they have with others.
