Me Too

Do not tell me I should of been raised to protect myself

When you were never raised to respect me.

Do not tell me I should of worn less clothes

When you wore less than I had on.

Do not tell me I shouldn’t of walked alone

When you were alone all night.

Do not tell me I shouldn’t of talked to strangers

When you were my closest friend there.

Do not tell me I was asking for it

When you never asked me for consent.

Do not tell me I should've spoken up

When you were covering my voice with your hand.

Do not tell me it’s a scary time for boys

When I’ve been scared for my life.
