Mask It With A Mask

I wear a mask, thick as leather

Beneah the seams fear keeps the mask together

No scars lie behind this invisible shield

A single word is all that's concealed

Failure has such a negative connotation

One who fails is an abomination

More effort

More skill

A failure won't be good enough and never will

We forget that each failure is an attempt

An effort

We ignore that success does not come without a single mistake

I will never loosen up the seams of my mask

And explain to you my dreams

For when I don't acomplish a single goal

Your love will burn its very last coal

And I will freeze alone in our trailer

Because of the way we learn to hate failure
