The Man On The Streets

How did he get there?

No one knows

To make things worse

He is being neglected by many

Before the day breaks

He tries to keep his heart safe

Since a dose is not enough

He goes around seeking for a place to take a nap

Fear grips him, just as he thinks of the past

For a moment, he thinks about what he has done

With his eyes closed

All he sees is darkness, pure emptiness

The word “drugs” is what he hears

Now it seems like his whole life is turned upside down

Who is he?

The man on the streets

The man whose life has been ripped apart by drugs

He sees or hears nothing besides drugs

How he got there

No one knows

But what everyone knows is that

He is

THE MAN ON THE STREETS
