A man asked me, “Have you ever found love?”
I said no, but I’d like to think I did once.
This man asked me, “Would you have given him the world?”
I said no, but he was the only man in the world who I could trust.
That man then asked me, “Was he everything you ever wanted?”
I said no, but I never needed anything else when he made me smile.
The man finally asked me, “Was he the best lover you ever had?”
I said no, but he made me feel beautiful.
