Looking Through A Glass Dome

To Them,

Today I looked at you through a glass dome

I watched the tears fall from your cheeks

Your eyes creased, cheeks growing red

Your voice cracked in the middle of your sentence

I felt your pain, I really did

I wanted to protect you, I really did

Today I watched you through a glass dome

I saw you laugh at the one you once called a friend

You, being more concerned about me

Me, being more concerned about them

Resenting you for what you couldn't see

Watching watching watching through this glass dome

Watching their relationship come to an end
