Look Not At My Body, But My Soul

Location

I ask you not to stare when I walk by,

So look into my eyes where beauty lies,

Some people’s comments make me want to cry,

Some people cause me pain so many times.

Some remain sad I can not dance or run,

I loath when people feel this dingy way,

So don’t get sad! Because I still have fun,

I know one day that things will be okay.

To transform lives is what I vow to do,

That’s why I want to be a therapist,

To help people with what they’re going through,

I know this will be a job I cherish.

Some people’s faults are so not clearly seen,

My life won’t be dictated by faulty genes.
