A Little Girl's Dream

Location

bathroom
United States

Looking down at the scale,

A little girl’s legs tremble in fear.

In shock she turns pale,

Hoping she could disappear.

“I must starve! I must starve!

No one will love me,

If I do not barf.”

She holds all the blame

In her shattering heart.

The little girl grows older,

But her despair does not part.

Lying in shame,

This little girl is me.

If I could change something,

It would be overcoming

This disease.
