Light

Thu, 05/16/2019 - 11:20 -- Leesa

The sun comes down through the dark clouds

The lights go out on a melancoly hill

The dark comes when the light is out of bounds

The light decays in my hands like a disolving pill

Light doesn't last a day or two

Light is a sacred treasure that is worthy

Light is brighter than the shine of a moon

Light has to be kept stable and sturdy

There's a light in our hearts that shine

But our hearts need to be at one

The light in our hearts need to be intertwined

We can't let light decay at none

Though cloudy weather and the dim sky

The light in our hearts fly

This poem is about:
Me
My family
My community
My country
Our world
