Let's Repaint Our Future
Let me paint a picture of my generation.
It's as if we all suffer from a self-induced aberration.
We don't think, we just do.
Where we sink, others flew.
It kind of stinks that we can't see our potential,
and that mistake after mistake seems to be becoming sequential.
I hope to have hope we'll come to our senses,
but our few successes seem to fall under pretenses.
How about we back up for a second?
Remember our roots. It'll help us, I reckon.
Bring back the chivalry and Victorian manners;
though it may be in excess we need to fly under those banners.
I believe I speak for a silent majority,
who consist of those willingly held down by the minority,
who in turn consist of those that act as if they're our authority,
when realistically they're more like an immature frat or sorority.
It's time to step back and fix our foundation,
so we can can paint over this picture of our generation.
