A Law-Abiding Immigrant in the US

The United States is a free country.

People come to it for a better life.

Each immigrant comes with a family.

A husband settles in it with his wife.

Unlike illegals, he does not break laws.

This immigrant understands this nation.

He enters the country, despite his flaws.

But, if criminal, there is frustration.

The United States is very unique.

One superpower has many people.

Lacking in diversity makes it weak.

In the air above them is an eagle.

Is there a blend of justice and mercy?

Can we live without a controversy?
