JUST STOP
Location
STOP RIGHT THERE.
Just because your assignment lacks clarity and I'm asking for some,
Just because you like the sound of your own voice,
Just because I'm trying to correct a mistake YOU made,
You don't have the right to talk over me; like I'm some ignorant child.
STOP TALKING AT ME.
And here you are, standing over me like I'm nothing,
Like I'm an idiot,
Like I'm a child.
Like I have no right to ask questions
Have no right to clarity.
Have no idea what I'm talking about,
and your mistake is my fault.
STOP GLARING AT ME
The girl next to me needs some individual time to understand;
she needs patience and care, understanding; a TEACHER.
She sits, clueless, as you answer her innocent questions
with sharp retorts;
With sarcasm.
She'd not stupid.
STOP PATRONIZING HER.
Math isn't her thing; she doesn't catch onto it quickly.
But when I take the time to clarify for her;
nudge her in the right direction,
She gets it.
If only she had someone
whose JOB it was to teach her these things;
Someone who was paid to be patient and understanding;
To make sure she understood the concepts...
If only she had a tutor,
a teacher...
Oh wait, that's YOUR job.
So climb off your high horse.
STOP BEING A JACKASS
We aren't here to suffer the constant newsflashes from your life.
"I'm divorcing my husband" you say;
"I'm totally fine with it" you say;
"I couldn't care less" you say.
We feel the same way.
So if you really don't give a shit,
STOP TALKING ABOUT IT.
We don't know you,
you don't know us;
SO STOP TALKING ABOUT YOUR PERSONAL ISSUES
You're seeking attention
and looking in all the wrong places.
We are students.
You're a teacher.
This isn't a pity party.
Some people are natural teachers;
They're just meant to teach.
And some people have no clue,
they chose the wrong career path.
YOU are of the latter category.
So here is some advice
JUST...
STOP.
