Hate is all around,

Love nowhere to be found.

Homeless veterans without jobs

With people passing like snobs

No one cares that those war wounds

Have left the poor man marooned

Little children being abused

We pretend to not see they’re bruised

They don’t know how to cry for help

But they know tonight’s a new welt

Ignorant teens getting high

We just legalize their supply

The only one that seems to care

Are the ones in despair

So many problems that need change

But all we worry about is our stock exchange

If we would just have the civility

To take responsibility

We would have the capability

To get rid of hostility
